Quickmask = Q key
Modify the edge of selection  = Select/Modify/Expand
Turn the selection into a layer= cmd/ctrl J
Move the Layer to another Photo= Move tool =V key drag to another photo
Scale the layer= cmd/ctrl T
Copy the Layer= cmd/ctrl J

fashion photography

1. When is an image a Portrait? When is it a fashion photograph? Are the two the Same?

It is a Portrait when…..portrait is when a picture is taken vertically mainly of the face  

It is a Fashion photograph when……is more about the clothes and hair than the person

2. To what degree should an image manipulated to go into a fashion magazine?

In the film the following manipulations occurs...

they changed the brightness

 

How about manipulations to the photos before they are taken, models, Makeup, sets

clothes .. they got rid of model they didn't want and made edits to the clothes  

3. Is there a clash between the creative and commercial side of fashion Photography?

What clashes occur in the film between the creative and commercial.
 

Grace looked at making the photo in to a fantasy feel to them but when Anna looked at them she didn't chose some because she thought it was to much and people wouldn't believe the fantasy and when Grace chose some cloths Anna didn't like them and said not to use them in the magazine and Anna said some of the cloths weren't layered in the layer section of the cloths when they were but to Anna rubber isn't a layer 
    

Who wins? commercial

Do you agree? Why? yes, i think it doesn't matter what they create if its put in a magazine or tv people will buy it because famous people call it fashion   

portait photography

portrait photography is where you take a picture horizontally and show of the face or whole body Tony Vaccaro took some picture of celebrities but would trick them by saying his camera didn't work and then would catch them of guard

      


Diane Arbus - she use too take picture of people and strip away all the stuff the model didn't want you to know.

In the picture Eddie Adams took we see bay hop about to be shot by Ngoc Loan
I think that the picture make you think about it but i think the video tell you a lot more about it

photojournalism war

who did they work for? Robert Capa worked for life magazine and Tony Vaccaro work for the us army

did who they work for effect the pictures they took? Robert Capa could only take pictures that the magazine wanted and vaccaro could only take pictures the us amy wanted

were their photos ture to war?  i think they both are ture to war but i think Vaccaro was more tureful because he was a solider

• Why is his work significant in Photojournalism? because he knew if he stayed in the same place for long enough he would get a good picture and his was the start of photojournalism
